About the House

Dunkery Lodge is a private Edwardian period residence (c. 1902) with many of the original features. The owners seek to continue the tradition of that most confident period of English history - good food, elegance, comfort and style.
There is plenty of private car parking in our gated grounds. We also offer safe storage for cycles, if you are touring the area. Minehead enjoys a mild climate and our garden and swimming pool are available to guests from April to September. If you would like to use the Internet whilst you are here to keep in touch by the Web or e-mail, we have wireless broadband available for guest use. |

| Our Guest lounge is always available to guests, with views of the grounds and a stone Minster open fireplace where we light log fires in Autumn and Winter. The lounge has comfortable seating, a guest library of books and maps and TV/Video is available for those who want it. Our Downstairs shower room is available if you want a walk-in shower after water activities, hill walking or an early morning swim in our pool. |

| We are well screened and sheltered from the rest of Minehead, especially in Spring and Summer. You could just as well be in a small Exmoor village. We have a gazebo (summertime) for eating outside or you can just relax by our outdoor solar heated swimming pool (open from April to September). Climb the fire escape at the rear while you are here and dramatic views of Minehead Bay, the Bristol Channel and the Welsh coastline open up. This is a splendid vantage point from which to enjoy the firework displays that are put on from time to time in Minehead and Dunster. Ample private parking: We can accommodate your cars safely behind our double gates at night and we can provide safe storage if you have cycles you would like to use. |
